Another Possible Reason For WWE Releasing Luke Harper, Sin Cara, And The Ascension

December 9, 2019
As we have been reporting on, WWE released four Superstars yesterday from their contracts: Luke Harper, Sin Cara, and The Ascension – Konnor and Viktor.

According to a report from Wrestling News, a source within WWE told them that a reason WWE released some wrestlers on the roster yesterday was to free up some money for payroll. This helps the company cut down salaries and frees up money for them to offer better deals to mid and upper card wrestlers that WWE doesn’t want to see leave.

“A WWE source told me that another reason why the company is more open to releasing some wrestlers is that it helps them cut down on salaries while freeing up more money to offer deals to mid and upper card wrestlers who they don’t want to leave the company.”

We will keep you updated if we hear anything else about the recent releases or future releases from the company.
